The Asian Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC) is a unique festival that aims to promote and celebrate the creation, development and appreciation of quality Asian content for children. Organized under the National Book Development Council of Singapore, the AFCC has brought together local and international talents including writers, illustrators, translators, editors, publishers, librarians, distributors, as well as teachers, parents and children since 2010. In 2016 (May 25-29), Japan will be the AFCC Country of Focus.

Please join SCBWI Japan on November 9 to hear AFCC Chairperson Claire Chiang give an overview of the festival, plus a presentation on Country of Focus: Japan by Vice Director of the Chihiro Art Museum Yuko Takesako, followed by a panel on children’s books and publishing in Asia, with Author Ken Spillman, Literary Agent Andrea Pasion-Flores, and president of the Brunei Darussalam Library Association Nellie Sunny. Come discover all that AFCC 2016 will offer, ask questions, and mingle with the presenters, the delegation of AFCC Board of Advisors, and previous attendees.
