Please feel free to bring your pre-purchased books for signing; please note that books will not be available for purchase at this event.
Rosemary Wells (rosemarywells.com) grew up in rural New Jersey in the 1940s and 50s. As a child she loved drawing, reading stories, baseball and animals. She was never able to fulfill her twin ambitions of being the first girl to play major league baseball or being a detective for the FBI. So she turned her hand to illustration and writing. She has, over her lifetime, published more than 130 books for children and has won many awards including two New York Times Best Illustrated and two Edgar Award nominations. She lives in Connecticut where she continues to works on all kinds of books.
